Taeko Watanabe's 30th Anniversary |

 This month's issue of Flowers celebrates the 30-year career of Taeko Watanabe. After hits like Family and Hajime-chan ga Ichiban!, a friend in a theater troupe took her to see a play, Kaze o Tsugu Mono. She was moved by the passionate, sincere production, which sent a non-history fan into the challenge of doing an historical story! Check out our download for chapter 138 for a full retrospective of Watanabe-sensei's career, including some images from Kaze o Tsugu Mono! Don't forget to support Watanabe-sensei and Kaze Hikaru by purchasing KH in Japanese or when it's available in your language. Here in the US, we have volume 13 out this month, so check it out!  Hello there! Just to let you Shinsengumi fans know about a couple of things so you don't miss it
- Mari's Hakuouki walkthrough and endings for Todou Heisuke (a favorite of mine) is now available at the bottom of those pages. If you don't have the game (or like me who don't understand a single bit of japanese) at least Mari provides us with very nice descriptions. Thanks Mari!
- Moeyo Ken is now in part 5! Please support "moeyoken" in the translation of this classic Shinsengumi piece.
- I just received my 1st edition Peace Maker Kurogane cards (mostly complete) and PMK special cards so they are now up in the Shinsengumi gallery, almost 60 pieces!
- I re-opened my production artwork site and currently PMK and Gintama is unlocked. Yes I've updated with some new pieces I've acquired the past few months. See them here.

 Well it's about time we gave some attention to Gintama's Shinsengumi don't you think? I'll be honest and say that I'm only half-way through the show, save for the time I skipped to the 100th or so episode to watch the Itou arc.  I really find the show a good distraction from RL and it's great for a laugh. My favorite on the show is of course Kondou but Hijikata comes a close second! Anyway we've been approved by TAFL to manage the Gintama Shinsengumi Fanlisting! I hope all of you sign up!
On other news... Mari, the one who's been kind enough to donate her Hakuouki guides to the site just finished Todou Heisuke's game guide. I'm sure a bunch of you would like to see this so please visit her site here. We'll include Todou in the next few days (once I catch up) but I thought it best to let you know of Mari's site. Last but not the least, there is news that the Shinsengumi will be appearing in a new series on "Oh Super Jump" this March or April... I don't have the complete details but the illustrator is Satoshi Noguchi and the title I believe is "Sanctuary - Chibu Bakumatsu Den". Oh Super Jump is an off shoot of Super Jump which releases serialized comics aimed for an older audience. Hopefully we get to see what Sanctuary is all about.
