Shinsengumi Fukuchou Jokin, Yobantai Kumichou
Was said to be the child of a Bonjuu Ono feudal retainer and leaves the clan going to Osaka and opened a Jujutsu gym there
He was enlisted on the first recruitment of the Shinsengumi
It is known to have participated in the Battle of the Forbidden gate, Ikedaya incident and others.
Wore a white headband on his shaven head, carried on his shoulders a large halberd and was given the nickname “Ima Benkei” (Ima – Now (Present), Benkei – Strong man)
In September of 1865, it is said that because of an error he committed seppuku but did not die and recovered and returned to being a soldier, however the wound got infected and he died from that.
Favorite sword is Kashuu Sumifuji Shima Tomoshige
Grave is at Kyotou Shijouoomiya of hikari-en Temple
