Takeda Kanryuusai Tokuhiru

• Birth: Unknown – 1867
• Shinsengumi Fukuchou Jokin, Gobantai Kumichou
• He is assumed to be a medical student whose origin was from the Izumo Bori village
• His real name was Hiroshi Fukuda and he appeared in Edo learning Fukushimadenkai-shiku and learning military strategies (Gungaku Shuukoku) such a Naganuma Ryu.
• It is with the miburoshi by autumn time in 1863
• In June 5, 1864 particpated in the attack of the Masuya in the house of Keimon, was the one person to arrest Furutaka Shuntarou
• It is the beginning of the Ikedaya incident
• He was an instructor of literature and taught the Koushuu ryu military strategy in the Shinsengumi
• Since he specialized in classic military strategy when the Shinsengumi changed to modern/foreign strategy his skills usefulness eventually paled as Itou Kashitarou eventually took the reigns
• Said to be valued by Kondou, promoted to an important position and even let Takeda accompany him to Edo to attend the cross-examination of Choshuu  However in two years 1866, he will separate from the Shinsengumi by approaching the Satsuma clan and planned to escape. Because of this he was murdered by the Shinsengumi in June at Aburanokouji Taketa highway.

• His gravesite is just outside the Jutoku-ji Temple boundary in the Takinogawa, Kita-ku, Tokyo
